It's not the only characteristic of her. Lockhart acknowledges her handicap on Instagram, but she does not make it the main focus of it. What message is it sending? It's crucial to understand that we all have many faces, our identities are diverse and we are much beyond our body. I don't want that to be the only thing that defines me. I don't wish to become a disability influencer where it's the only thing I speak about since there are so many other elements to me. Lockhart speaks via video from her residence in Nashville. It doesn't affect my daily life. Everything is normal and I've learned to adjust. It's also a part of my personality, and that it is something to be talked about. Self-acceptance can be a marathon for a lifetime but Lockhart is an absolute inspiration in this regard. However, she acknowledges going through phases with her body at times being unsure about wearing specific types of clothes showing how much of her body. Nowadays, she dresses anything she likes and uploads pictures of herself in these outfits on social media with pride. The self-love she talks about is a journey. It's hard to say whether you'll get to the final stage. The same is true for everybody, no matter what their level of insecurity. The people around you with who truly know you, and can see inside your soul are the most important people who can remind you of the things you're worrying about.
